Cookie policy

Without consent we store only what is necessary for the website to work. Everything else is in your hands.

Effective from 1 September 2026

1. Who uses cookies

This website is operated by Heroes Agency s.r.o. (brand Hiroäs), registered office Budatínska 3230/16, 851 06 Bratislava, company ID: 52945511. For cookie and personal data matters contact us at ahoj@hiroas.sk.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored in your browser when you visit a website. For the purposes of this policy, cookies also include similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, pixels or third-party SDKs.

3. Legal basis

Storing cookies is governed by Section 109(8) of Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on electronic communications, the GDPR (EU) 2016/679 and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on personal data protection.

  • Necessary cookies are stored without consent — they are required to deliver the service you requested (legitimate interest / statutory exemption).
  • Analytics and marketing cookies are stored only after your demonstrable, freely given and active consent (opt-in). Without consent they are not activated.

Refusing is as easy as consenting — the banner offers a "Reject all" button at the same level as "Accept all". Consent is not a condition for using the website and we do not use pre-ticked boxes.

4. Cookie categories we use

  • Necessary — storing your cookie decision (local storage, valid until changed), technical hosting cookies for security and availability (session up to 12 months).
  • Analytics — anonymised measurement of traffic and behaviour so we can improve the content (typically up to 14 months).
  • Marketing — campaign performance measurement and remarketing on platforms such as Meta, Google or LinkedIn (typically up to 13 months). Activated only with consent.

The website may also load embedded third-party content (e.g. a video or podcast player). Once played, such content may set its own cookies according to that platform's rules.

5. Transfers outside the EEA

Some analytics and marketing providers are based outside the European Economic Area. In such cases the transfer is based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision (e.g. the EU–US Data Privacy Framework).

6. How to change or withdraw consent

You can change your decision at any time — open the cookie settings using the button below. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. You can also delete cookies directly in your browser settings.

We will ask for your consent again after 12 months at the latest, or sooner if the scope of cookies changes.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and the right to object. Details are in our privacy policy. You can lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava.
